I can’t believe that 6 months have passed since I walked into Health Data Vision and was introduced as the new CEO. For the benefit of other leaders, I wanted to share a few of my learnings, successes and shortcomings. If this is helpful, pass along this post to others and or share your own thoughts on similar launch points in your career.

The early stage journey often feels like two-steps forward / one-step back.  But with each week the steps forward seem to outstretch the backward steps a bit more. Now as I look forward to the next 6 months our focus and mission is clear.

Mission:  Deliver technical innovation that allows Chief Medical Officers to take control of the Care Cycle to ensure optimal quality and financial outcomes.

Our near-term Focus:

  1. Drive customer success into every corner of our business.  Empower people to act locally.
  2. Accelerate our product development velocity.
  3. Streamline data ingestion with our customers to facilitate our ability to serve them
  4. Clarify our market message and begin to shift how Health Plans think of technology to serve Quality and Risk adjustment needs
  5. Drive operational discipline into every facet of our company. Each team member needs to map their role to company goals and identify clear measures of success.

Onward we  go, as I look forward to the next 180 days in building a company that creates innovative product, allows employees an opportunity to challenge themselves in a collaborative environment while keeping long-term shareholder return at the forefront of spend and investment decisions. My / our journey of learning will continue. At the forefront of our actions will be a focus on: customer value, speed, decisiveness, and innovation.
